Voiceover people guard their contacts and bookings for good reason — they're your livelihood. So “won't VOpilot have access to all of that?” is a fair question, and it deserves a straight answer instead of a shrug. Here it is.
VOpilot is your business studio — it can only file your auditions, remember who books you, chase an unpaid invoice, or build your CRM if that information lives inside it. Same as your accountant's ledger or the filing cabinet in your booth: the data is in there because organizing it is the entire point. Us building and running the tool doesn't mean we're sitting in your booth listening to your sessions.
Every record you create is tagged to your account, and the database itself refuses to hand your rows to anyone else's login. That isolation is enforced a layer below the app — using row-level security — so another VO artist literally cannot read your jobs, clients, invoices, or income, even by accident. The public demo site you can publish only ever shows what you deliberately put on it, never your private account data.
Open Settings → Privacy & security and you'll find your Account access log: a running record of every time anyone on the VOpilot team accessed your account — who looked, what they viewed, and when. For almost everyone, it simply reads “No one on the VOpilot team has accessed your account data.” No promise required; you can just look.
If you write in — “my invoice to Acme didn't send” — we look at that invoice, only what's needed to answer you, and that access shows up in your log. We don't wander your contact list, we never use one client's information to answer someone else's question, and the in-app assistant is fenced exactly the same way: it can only see your records, to answer your question.
When a client pays you, Stripe or PayPalhandles the card and bank details directly, and the funds settle into your own connected account. VOpilot never sees or stores full card or bank-account numbers — you're the merchant of record, not us.
Your contacts, rates, jobs, auditions, invoices, contracts — all of it is yours. We have no interest in any of it beyond keeping your account running. And that isn't just principle, it's survival: trust is the one thing that makes a tool like this worth using. The moment VOpilot betrayed yours, it would deserve to lose you — and we know it. We're not about to torch the thing we're trying to build.
This is the plain-English version. The details live in our Privacy Policy and Security page, and agencies or larger clients can put a signed Data Processing Addendum in place. Questions? Email support@vopilot.co.
