How do voiceover coaches structure sessions and rates?

Working VO coaches typically charge per session at fixed lengths (30, 45, 60, 90 minutes), often with multi-session packages at a modest discount and separate rates for demo direction or workshop teaching. Coaching is a business line with its own bookkeeping: students, sessions, packages with remaining balances, and materials — run it with the same rigor as booked VO work.

For coaches, the operational load is real: scheduling sessions, tracking who's on which package with how many sessions left, sending materials, invoicing students, and following up. Done in a notes app, it leaks money and looks amateur to the very students paying for professionalism.

For students choosing a coach: per-session pricing with a clear rate card is the professional norm. Be wary of large upfront 'programs' sold with booking promises — reputable coaches sell craft development, not guaranteed outcomes.

VOpilot treats coaching as a first-class job type: a session form with your rate card, session packs with automatic remaining-balance tracking, student rosters for workshops with per-seat billing and reminder emails, and teaching materials delivered through the same branded delivery pages as client work.
