For a one-off receipt, just forward the email to this address — that always works. For a recurring subscription, open the expense and set “Repeat”. Only wire up Gmail auto-forwarding if you want a vendor's real receipt captured every time with zero touches; it's the fiddliest path, and because it lives in Gmail it can fail quietly.
